International Youth Theater Festival 2025

The WILDE MISCHUNG is celebrating!

2025 is the year of anniversaries in what is probably the smallest metropolis in the world. The WILDE MISCHUNG is also celebrating. Our international youth theater festival will be 20 years old next April. We are giving it an extra day for its birthday and extending our festival week. From Easter Monday, April 21st to Saturday, April 26th, 2025, we are expecting, as always, exciting guests and thrilling theater productions from the international and regional theater world.

We have been planning and talking to our theater friends in Turkey, Finland and Ghana for several months now. For the first time, a group from China has registered. We are keeping our fingers crossed and hope to welcome the young people from Beijing to the festival in Hall. Due to the current political situation, it is unfortunately still unclear whether the Seenaryo group from Lebanon/Palestine will be able to take part again.

The WILDE MISCHUNG is an intercultural meeting place, a festival of young theater art and an opportunity to make new friends with people from other parts of the world. The participants, aged 15 to 20 and a little older, attend workshops for a week, the results of which they present to a public audience at the end of the festival, as well as the productions they have brought with them during the week in a varied festival program, and exchange ideas about art and culture. Admission to all performances is free. Reservations are not possible.

National and international groups can now apply to take part, please send an email to: entner@freilichtspiele-hall.de with the subject „WILDE MISCHUNG Jubilee". Individuals aged 15-20 can also register and take part in the festival, even without their own stage program.

International Youth Theater Festival 2023

[Afterword]

Finally live again and a complete success!

The 10th International Youth Theater Festival Schwäbisch Hall took place from April 10th to April 14th, 2023.

After the WILDE MISCHUNG had to take place online in 2021 due to the pandemic, we were finally able to welcome young theater artists from all over the world to our small metropolis again in spring 2023. Ensembles from Finland, Ghana, Greece and Turkey were guests, as well as a group from Lebanon/Palestine for the first time. Young theater groups from Künzelsau and Hall from the surrounding area were there.

Here are a few impressions of the recent festival. It was a great week. We say thank you to all participants, helpers and contributors. You are the festival! - I see you.

EUROPEAN CITIZENS' PRIZE 2021

In 2021, Georg Kistner and Andreas Entner, the creators of the festival, were awarded the European Citizens' Prize for their International Youth Theater Festival - which took place digitally in its 9th edition. A great honor: the prize is awarded to initiatives and projects that promote peace, make social coexistence friendlier and generally use their strength and creativity to help people on this planet to live in dignity.
